‘Para Ellos’ ist eine moderne Fabel. Sie erzählt die Geschichte der 10-jährigen Maria, welche nichts mehr liebt, als jeden Abend die Gute-Nacht-Geschichten ihres Vaters zu hören. Eines Nachts verschwindet ihr Vater spurlos und Maria macht sich, gemeinsam mit ihrem kleinen Bruder Juan, auf die Suche nach ihm. Entlang der amerikanisch-mexikanischen Grenze erhalten sie ungefragt Hilfe von drei neugierigen Gestalten der Wüste.
