MIRA 2017

From 1st to 3rd of december 2017, MIRA had it’s fourth edition happening in the autonomous cultural center „Kult 41“ in Bonn.

The festival started with the presentation of the documentary „Es hora de enamorarse, una historia entre bambalinas“ (2016) from Panama. Afterwards, the audience had the opportunity to discuss with some of the protagonists of the film, who answered questions about the theme and production of the film, as well as the everyday life of persons with disability in Panama.

On saturday we presented three filmblocks. Students of the University of Bonn had prepared thematic presentations about the films „Huicholes del Tabaco“, „Vigilia“ and „Algo Mio“. Jenny Hellmann, director of „Algo Mio“ was present as well and answered questiosn about the context of production of her film and argentine dictatorship in general.

On sunday, we focused on the topic „gender“ with two filmblocks .
